At Sapolu Destined Academy, our mission is to prepare our students for leadership and success in their future endeavors. Rooted in traditional values, we embrace the power of educational-based technology and cultivate a comprehensive educational experience that promotes excellence and nurtures essential life skills. We recognize the transformative power of sports and athletics in a student's life, integrating elite athletic training into our curriculum to develop discipline, teamwork, and resilience.

For twenty years Jesse ran camps and mentored young athletes across California and the islands. The pattern never changed: gifted kids, twelve and thirteen years old, drifting through the exact years that decide everything — with nobody in their corner asking hard questions.

So he built a school around those years. Accredited academics. Elite athletic development. Adults who know every student. And a standard nobody gets to opt out of.

Discipline becomes identity.

Drafted — San Francisco 49ers

Four Super Bowl Championships

XIX, XXIII, XXIV, XXIX. Two Pro Bowls.

1998

Mentorship begins

Two decades of coaching, camps, and Polynesian youth development.

Co-Founder — Polynesian Football Hall of Fame

Founded with Ma'a Tanuvasa, honoring the greatest Polynesian players.

Co-Founder — Polynesian Bowl

The national high school all-star game, now the Adidas Polynesian Bowl.

Our Approach

SDA is not a sports academy. It is a WASC accredited middle school that uses athletics as the vehicle to build disciplined, confident, humble young leaders — the kind of people coaches recruit and employers keep.
