International Admissions

Train here.Learn here.Grow here.

Sapolu Destined Academy welcomes international students in grades 6-8 to a focused academic and athletic community in Orange County, California.

Welcome to SDA

A global path.A personal standard.

International students join the same WASC accredited program that brings classroom learning, elite athletic development and character formation into one school day. SDA is approved to enroll international students and supports accepted families through the school portion of the F-1 process.

How to Apply

Six clear steps.

01

Complete the application

Submit the SDA International Student Application through our secure application form.

02

Gather documents

Prepare academic records, identification, financial support documents and the required family forms.

03

Interview and placement

Once the application and documents are received, our team will arrange an interview and placement testing if needed.

04

Admissions decision

Families receive an admissions decision by phone or email, generally within two weeks.

05

Complete acceptance tasks

Accepted families have 10 days to complete the SDA commitment form and required payment.

06

Receive Form I-20

After admission requirements and payments are complete, SDA issues the Form I-20. Transfer students must first release their SEVIS record.

Documents to prepare

The admissions team will provide the official forms and confirm which items apply to your family. Preparing these records early can help prevent delays.

  • Passport and current visa, I-20 or green card when applicable
  • Transcripts and report cards from the previous two years
  • English language test results
  • Affidavit of Support with supporting bank statement
  • Immunization record
  • Parental, medical, emergency and school policy consent forms
  • Guardian and host family agreements when applicable
  • SEVIS transfer request for students already studying in the United States

English Placement

Ready for an English-immersive classroom

Applicants submit one qualifying score: iTEP SLATE-Plus with a minimum score of 4.3, or TOEFL Junior with a minimum score of 800. A video interview may also be requested. Students below the minimum enter SDA's ELD program for at least one academic year.

Student Status

Form I-20 and F-1 process

Accepted students receive Form I-20 after all required documents, financial evidence, commitments and payments are complete. Students transferring from another U.S. school must have their SEVIS record released before SDA can issue its Form I-20.
